Aleutians & Pribilofs Cruise 2005

3 weeks on the M/V Tiglax. Starting in Homer and ending on St. Paul Island.
Many stops: Ugamak, Chowiet, Aiktak, Kasatochi, Bogoslof to name a few.

Caitlin Warbelow was my trusty sidekick - she took many of these pictures.
The first part of our mission was to assist Sasha with collecting fat & blood samples from seabirds for the ReFER project. The second part was to collect zooplankton and fish samples around St. Paul Island (mid-water & bottom trawling).

Aleutian Islands Cruise 2004

Two weeks on the M/V Tiglax, starting at Dutch Harbor and ending at Adak.

3 stops: Bogoslof, Chagulak and Kasatochi Islands.
I had the amazing experience of working with 4 out of 5 of my M.S. committee members on this trip. We collected fat and blood samples from seabirds for a fatty acid and horomone analysis. .. loads of fun.
