Tern Island, HI

March - June 1999
Tern Island, French Frigate Shoals, Hawaiian Islands National Wildlife Refuge.
The Hawaiian Islands NWR consists of a chain of islands, reefs, and atolls extending about 800 miles in the northwesterly direction from the main Hawaiian Islands.
The seabirds there are exotic and for the most part, not afraid of humans. It's the only field camp where I've been able to wear a tank top and flip flops to check my plots....
